I was born and raised in Peterborough and have strong ties to this community. I’m a graduate of Peterborough Collegiate and have spent most of my professional career here. In 2005, I graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton after completing Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Sociology and Psychology.

Two years later, I came back to Peterborough and started working within the Justice system. The last 17 years has provided me with much knowledge and experience fulfilling various roles within the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice.

Since opening the doors to S.K. Pickens Law in 2019, I've really enjoyed working on behalf of our clients and get a lot of satisfaction when we're able to help. I've also gained valuable skills in business management, human resources and legal accounting.

Throughout my career I’ve always loved volunteering within the local community and have had some great opportunities to do so with S.K. Pickens Law.

Perhaps my most recent accomplishment is my most significant, the birth of my son. Having a baby in my 40's has been challenging, but a whole new level of rewarding that makes it all worth it for the joy he brings.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy camping, canoeing, exercise, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

I look forward to continuing to serve the growing Peterborough community both personally and professionally.
