I was born in Peterborough and have lived in this area for most of my life. After completing my B.A. in Psychology from Trent University, I moved to the GTA for several years. I returned to the Peterborough area in 2021 to enjoy a slower pace of life with my two small boys, who are now 7 and 4! I have really enjoyed re-connecting with the community and people here.

Prior to coming to S.K. Pickens Law, I managed the office and operations for a large church in Ajax, between the births of my first and second child. I also spent some time working in downtown Toronto, working as a Mental Health and Addictions Worker for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Throughout my career, while experiencing a few different fields of work – the one constant is that I have always been in service to others. I have enjoyed working with our clients here at S.K. Pickens Law and am grateful to be serving others in my hometown. I hope that I can add a sliver of light to sometimes difficult circumstances.

When I’m not working, I am usually hanging with my boys – and you can imagine for yourself what that might look like at these ages!
